This model is a 40/60 HP version, meaning the engine cover displays 40 HP, but the motor is actually a true 60 HP 3-cylinder engine with a 998 cm³ displacement and 12 valves. Originally produced for markets such as Italy—where engines above 40 HP require a boating license—the engine was factory-limited to 40 HP. After professional removal of the limiter, it operates as a genuine Honda 60 HP engine.

Unlike Honda 40HP and 50HP models (808 cm³, 6 valves, 98 kg), the real 60HP version features a larger 998 cm³ block, 12-valve configuration, and 110 kg weight, confirming authentic 60HP performance.

The latest 2026 model includes modern Honda marine technology such as electronic fuel injection, power trim, trolling function, and electric start for smooth, efficient, and reliable operation.
